This is a 24hour line operated by our own in house Funeral directors Iberian Servicios Funerarias SL who are responsible for the handling of incoming calls – allocation of contracted funeral directors and management of funeral services in accordance with the specified plan and our Companies terms and conditions with regards to use of contracted funeral directors, and premises for the provision of service.

Should you wish to use alternate funeral directors or premises for the purposes of the deceased’s funeral service there may be additional costs involved – we cannot guarantee the cost of service will be met by the plan or plan contribution if a third party is used – but only by the use of our own contracted funeral directors and their premises.

When contacting this number you will be asked for certain details with regards to the deceased including:

  • The full name of deceased.
  • The location of deceased.
  • The plan reference number.
  • Your name and relationship to the deceased.
  • Has the death been certified by a doctor? – as we can only move the body if this paperwork is available.

COVID-19 has brought unprecedented change to our way of life and presents us all with daily challenges. To best support our customers, please find below the temporary changes we are making to our services.

Our 24 hour bereavement line remains open – and we are working with our contracted funeral directors in providing a funeral service for our plan members.

To conform to Government decree, we have had to temporarily close our offices so reducing the number of staff available.

Funerals are a necessity and therefore will continue as normal.

However there are new guidelines in place.

Our Funeral Directors will still work as normal, from home where possible, to reduce the risk of infection.

Funeral services will not be made public. Indeed all funerals will be a direct cremation during the period of this crisis.

There will be No viewing of the deceased.

No repatriation and/or embalming to be carried out during the isolation period.

Please note:  These are temporary measures during this unprecedented crisis.

We’re still here to help but we will be busier than usual so please only call us if your query is urgent – this means we can focus on those customers who need our help the most at this time.

Funeral plans are not for the present but rather the future hence as an option to paying a lump sum we offer Interest free instalments on our plans over 5 years, (deposit and Balance by instalments).

It should be noted that upon lifting of the restrictions and upon confirmation of Government guidelines our plans will revert to the provision of the stipulated plan benefits – which are detailed below.

By a Government Directive in early 2019 funeral directors were instructed that after 72 hours the body must be embalmed. This cost is NOT included in our plan’s

At the time of need your personal representative will be offered the option of embalming or the funeral service taking place within 72 hours.

As you can appreciate at this time we have to conform to Government guidelines and instructions

With a global draw-down thanks to Coronavirus, you might be inclined to stop everything. DON’T! We at Iberian are thinking towards the future as well as servicing the present and we continue to offer certain discounts or referral fees – these are for new business aimed at new clients.

We have not altered our pricing are not trying to take advantage of this unfortunate situation we are writing to existing clients and advising of necessary changes at this unfortunate time plus

  • A) We are still offering between €50 (Beech) and €100 (Cedar) for any new plan taken out by friends or family or
  • B) If family it may be that instead of receiving a referral fee you may choose to advise that we offer €50 and €100 of the cost price of one of our plans.

Re your Funeral Plan

In accordance with the companies terms and conditions we are writing to advise/clarify a change in our procedures with immediate effect.

Upon death our funeral directors IBERIAN SERVICIOS FUNERIAS must be phoned on the free phone number:


900 104 351 as detailed on the Plan Membership Cards


Your call will be registered and you will immediately be advised of our contracted funeral directors name.

On no account must you sign any documentation unless offered to you by ISF or their contracted funeral director.

Our funeral directors will liase with the family or representative of the deceased to make arrangements for provision of service under the terms of the plan you have with Iberian including facilities to be used, date of service and legal requirements to enable the service to go ahead. The company (Iberian) will not be responsible for meeting any costs for provision of service should our contracted funeral directors and the agreed facilities not be used.

You will incur additional charges from Iberian Servicios Funeraria due to the use of non-contracted funeral directors including VAT/IVA and the additional costs over the Iberians contracted price.

Alternatively: should you use the services of a non-contracted funeral director the company reserves the right to treat this as a cancellation and in accordance with our terms and conditions return the cost of the plan, less 20% of the plan value (deducted from monies received by the company).

It is with regret that we take these steps but they have to be taken in response to actions beyond our control.
