November 2018 NEWS LETTER
Whilst the issues of Brexit are on our minds – the Company is set up to cope with Brexit whatever the outcome having fully legal and functioning Companies in the UK, Spain and Portugal. I think it’s fair to say that Brexit has affected us all be it the uncertainty over what will happen or not and the exchange rate fluctuations but The Company continues on, riding these waves of “doom and gloom” to consolidate its position as leader in this market providing competitively priced plans with guaranteed benefits – through our experienced sales team – who provide no pressure advice for our clients old and new .
We have enhanced our portfolio of Funeral Directors and now have some 12 contracted funeral directors throughout Spain upwards of 18 in the UK all of whom provide the quality and experience we demand.
These all work thru our own in-house funeral directors Iberian Servicios Funerias
This has been done to provide a more localised but still contracted funeral director and so improve the services we offer. It also reflects our ongoing growth together with a desire “not to have all our eggs in one basket”.
I would remind everyone that we operate a centralised bereavement line:
00 34 900 104 351
This works from any country – and should only be used in the event of death.
We would also advise that having a plan with Iberian guarantees the cost in Spain or Portugal, making your own arrangements – signing documents not presented by Iberian or its contracted funeral directors will mean a further cost to you/your family so it’s essential you follow the procedures on death that are supplied.
Also relocating to the UK needs to be addressed –
It is essential that you advise of any change of address – we wrote to all those of our clients who advised they had relocated to UK, some 18 months ago advising of changes to the plans with regards to our plans purchased in Spain and Portugal and the fact that the plans were purchased in those countries were purchased in € and were based on the main residence being in those countries where we have control of costs. The situation is not the same in the UK and that whilst the plan benefits are transferrable the price paid for the plan may well not cover the cost of provision of service in the UK, dependent upon where in the UK you reside. If you have not contacted us already you need to, to establish the options available – the UK has become a post code lottery with regards to funeral costs, averages may be quoted on TV and media but these are averages and there is a much greater variance than those figures advertised – we are here to help and thru our upgrade pricing and working together with our funeral directors can mitigate these differences – we are able to work with you but only if you work with us.
We shall shortly be starting to contact those clients who have not already contacted us re this situation.
It has been decided to close our Manilva office and relocate the sales team to our Alhaurin el Grande (Malaga) office – this allows us to consolidate our resources in a centralised location and provide enhanced services from one location.
Our plan prices have not risen in over 5 years and remain the same and are located together with the benefits of each plan on our web site www.iberianfuneralplans.com together with all other information about the company – we have an open and transparent policy so display pricing terms and conditions allowing anyone to look before they decide.
They carry no interest, should you wish to pay by instalments:
Oak €7250 (flights charged at cost at time of need)
Almond €2495 (Portugal Only)
One further point to note is that all companies within the Iberian Group have signed up to the current GDPR (data protection regulations) and are fully compliant with regards to Data Protection.
